Ms. Puhala began her legal career in civil litigation and then worked as a Court Attorney for a judge in the Civil Court of the City of New York. After focusing on her family, she returned to the full-time practice of law by completing the Pace Law School New Directions for Attorneys Program and volunteering at the New York State Attorney General’s Westchester Regional Office and its Health Care Bureau. There she handled investigations relating to regulatory compliance and fraud in the areas of prisoner’s health care rights, employee benefit plans and mobile applications, and she counseled consumers regarding insurance coverage issues. At BGKS, she focuses her practice on health care law and professional liability.
